Avoid:

• Sun Exposure or Tanning: Stay out of the sun and avoid tanning beds, self-tanners, or bronzers. Laser targets pigment, so tanned skin can increase the risk of burns or discoloration.
• Waxing, plucking, or threading: These remove the hair root that the laser needs to target. Shaving is fine.
• Chemical peels or retinol products: Stop using them on the treatment area to prevent irritation.
• Exfoliating acids (AHA/BHA) or strong skincare actives: Pause for at least 3-5 days before treatment

Shave the treatment area

• Use a clean, sharp razor
• Shave the entire area that will be treated so the laser can target hair follicles beneath the skin surface without burning the surface hair.
• Avoid cutting or irritating the skin
• Do NOT use depilatory creams - they can cause chemical irritation
• Please note: A $25 fee will apply if shaving is required at your appointment

Do:

• Clean Skin only: No lotion, make-up, deodorant, perfume, or oil on the area.
• Wear loose, comfortable clothing to avoid irritation after treatment.

Avoid:

• Caffeine or alcohol (it can increase skin sensitivity)
• Heavy exercise or sweating right before the session.

• Inform your practitioner if you are taking photosensitive medications (like certain antibiotics, Accutane or birth control pills)
• If you've recently started or stopped medications, tell your practitioner
• Do not use laser hair removal over open wounds, tattoos, or infections
