THINGS THAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
1-2 Weeks before your appointment
Avoid:
Sun Exposure or Tanning: Stay out of the sun and avoid tanning beds, self-tanners, or bronzers. Laser targets pigment, so tanned skin can increase the risk of burns or discoloration.
Waxing, plucking, or threading: These remove the hair root that the laser needs to target. Shaving is fine.
Chemical peels or retinol products: Stop using them on the treatment area to prevent irritation.
Exfoliating acids (AHA/BHA) or strong skincare actives: Pause for at least 3-5 days before treatment
24-48 Hours before your appointment
Shave the treatment area
Use a clean, sharp razor
Shave the entire area that will be treated so the laser can target hair follicles beneath the skin surface without burning the surface hair.
Avoid cutting or irritating the skin
Do NOT use depilatory creams - they can cause chemical irritation
Please note: A $25 fee will apply if shaving is required at your appointment
The day before/Day of treatment
Do:
Clean Skin only: No lotion, make-up, deodorant, perfume, or oil on the area.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing to avoid irritation after treatment.
Avoid:
Caffeine or alcohol (it can increase skin sensitivity)
Heavy exercise or sweating right before the session.
Medications & Health
Inform your practitioner if you are taking photosensitive medications (like certain antibiotics, Accutane or birth control pills)
If you've recently started or stopped medications, tell your practitioner
Do not use laser hair removal over open wounds, tattoos, or infections
